Finding a reliable contractor in Northern Virginia shouldn't mean sifting through paid ads and sponsored listings. We built a site where every contractor is scored the same way — based on what's publicly visible about their business, not how much they spent on advertising.
Good contractors with strong reputations deserve to be found. Our Visibility Score gives every business in the directory a fair, transparent benchmark — and shows exactly what's holding their online presence back.
NoVA Contractor Hub was started by a Northern Virginia resident who got tired of the same frustrating experience most homeowners know well: search for an HVAC tech or a roofer, and you get a wall of paid ads, lead-gen middlemen, and review platforms where the top spots are bought, not earned.
The idea was simple — collect the publicly available data that actually matters (Google reviews, website quality, local search presence, licensing signals) and turn it into a single, transparent score. No phone calls to contractors. No salespeople. No sponsored placements in the rankings.
We started with HVAC across 14 Northern Virginia cities and expanded to cover 10 trades and over 1,500 contractors. Every contractor in our directory was scored the same way, on the same scale, with no exceptions.
We're a small, independent operation — not a VC-backed lead gen company. The goal is to make the contractor search process simpler and more honest for everyone in Northern Virginia.
